Renae’s business approach revolves around experimenting with storytelling across multiple formats, using creativity as a central tool to solve market challenges and generate value. This approach blends a commercially viable business model, built on market intelligence, with compelling stories that resonate with the audience.
Her experience is diverse, combining academic achievements with practical, real-world exposure. With two decades of experience in television and digital media in Australia, she also holds a master’s degree in Creative Business from the National Film and Television School in London. Her interests lie in AI, Web 3.0, and multimodal storytelling.
Since relocating to the UK from Australia three years ago, Renae has managed a nationwide VR cinema distribution program, collaborated with a London-based PLC on Web 2.0 game analysis for a new business vertical, and researched the potential of Web 3.0, AI, and the metaverse. This journey has driven her passion for innovation and led to founding Screen Innovate, a transmedia content studio and creative technology lab.
To date, Screen Innovate has participated in the Games London: Game Changer programme in 2024, funded by the UK Government and supported by the Mayor of London. The accelerator included an outbound trade delegation to SLUSH: Helsinki. Screen Innovate has also participated in several Barclays Eagle Lab accelerators, including Product Builder powered by Plexal and Funding Readiness powered by Capital Enterprise.

Shifting the narrative
Constantly inspired by the space where stories bubble into being and take shape through traditional and emerging technology.
Story is a great unifier.
Weaving technology and commerce into that equation amplifies its ability to touch the lives of many.
My speciality is coming up with novel ways to ethically integrate technology, story and commercial appeal. I like to contribute as a founder, consultant, analyst or storyteller.
