WEB 3.0
Exploring blockchain technology, decentralisation, the creator economy
My interest in Web 3.0 was sparked two years ago while exploring the digital theme park business model behind Fortnite, Roblux, and Minecraft. The use of virtual currency and micro-transactions within these models incited a broadening of thinking, which extended to blockchain technology. This has resulted in a tokenised economic perspective, and a curiosity of the potentiality of Web 3.0 to invoke the next evolution of the creator economy.
I observe blockchain and other Web 3.0 tools through a producer, and a creative business lens, to find new ways to wrap NFT’s and tokenomics into actionable business models for the creative industries.
